Cleaning accessory shop in Kenya: Equipment and Supplies
Buy for the acceptance standard
The procurement decision starts with the result you must deliver: Tools work for their stated task without scratching or misleading chemical claims.
Demonstrate the tool on an appropriate sample surface, checking reach, attachment security, ease of rinsing, and whether buyers understand the stated surface limitations.
A tool or material is suitable only when it can support this specification at the pilot scale. Use the following shortlist as a starting point, not a compulsory shopping package:
- Tool display
- sample heads
- specification labels
- spare-part bins
Write comparable requests for quotations
| Resource | Questions for the supplier |
|---|---|
| Tool display | Confirm the precise variant, usable quantity, compatibility, delivered cost, lead time, invoice and remedy for a mismatch. |
| sample heads | Confirm the precise variant, usable quantity, compatibility, delivered cost, lead time, invoice and remedy for a mismatch. |
| specification labels | Confirm the precise variant, usable quantity, compatibility, delivered cost, lead time, invoice and remedy for a mismatch. |
| spare-part bins | Confirm the precise variant, usable quantity, compatibility, delivered cost, lead time, invoice and remedy for a mismatch. |
Ask for the exact unit or pack size, rather than accepting a price without a quantity. Where equipment is involved, check maintenance needs, safe operation, available support and whether you can obtain replacement consumables. Inspect a sample or demonstration where practical. A photograph and a low asking price do not prove suitability or available stock.
Connect procurement to the operating sequence
- Check joints. Compare the physical sample with supplier dimensions and use instructions. Record any unsupported claim rather than repeating it in advertising.
- match heads to handles. Write the selected dimensions or compatibility on the customer order. Ask for confirmation before ordering a non-returnable item.
- explain intended surfaces. Check closures, fixings, set contents or moving parts as applicable. Keep a dated record of defects found before dispatch.
- track faults by batch. Record dispatch condition and packing, then explain the actual warranty and care information supplied with that specific product.
At each step, identify the input whose absence would stop delivery. Arrange that input before accepting a deadline. Compare buying with suitable hire or a competent subcontractor, while keeping the responsibility for inspection and customer handover explicit.
Inspect before release to use
Retain the quote and check the delivered specification, quantity, condition and identifying details. Keep unsuitable items separate while you resolve the discrepancy. Record supplier identity and payment reference privately; do not post customer or supplier personal data in a public planning sheet.
Include worn demonstration heads, handle breakage, bulky transport, replacement-part stock, and time spent resolving mismatched connectors from customers bringing tools bought elsewhere.
Limit the first purchase to the agreed scope: Select cleaning accessories by surface and household task, clarifying which replacement heads belong to each handle and where manufacturer use limits affect customer choice. Expand the resource list only when actual orders and measured capacity justify it.
Exact procurement specifications for this offer
| Item | Specification to quote | Acceptance evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Titiz TP-109 brushes | Ten units, listed 165 each. | Inspect bristles/edges and confirm actual available colours; request surface-use limits. |
| Dry protective sleeves | Ten sleeves or clean display protections. | Avoid packaging that permanently bends bristles. |
| Task/defect cards | Ten cards with model and intended use. | No sterile, disinfecting or scratch-free claim without evidence. |
A usable quotation states the exact variant, comparison unit, minimum order, delivered quantity, tax, delivery charge, payment dates, expiry and exclusions. Obtain written clarification of substitutions; compare only equivalent scopes. Match the delivered item against the same check before releasing it to use.
Supplier evidence and limits
- Titiz Dish Brush TP-109: KSh 165.00 per one brush; exact brush model. Kikapu Chetu, recorded 2026-10-26. Colour, surface compatibility, tax, delivery and stock unconfirmed.
Any listing above is an earlier observation, not a fresh quotation or confirmed stock. Reconfirm suitability and landed cost. The supplier comparison in the operating pack separates purchase quantity from usable requirement when a minimum order creates surplus.
