Dance fitness sessions in Kenya: Customers and Market Demand
The buyer and the buying decision
adults wanting recreational movement The offer to test is: Choreographed dance-fitness classes at a stated skill level
Choose routines suited to the advertised class level and available floor, making music use and movement alternatives part of preparation rather than relying solely on an energetic playlist to carry the session.
Separate interest from an accepted order
Rehearse one routine and pilot it with consenting beginners
The purpose of this test is to establish whether the buyer accepts the specified result, delivery arrangement and payment terms. An encouraging interview does not establish repeat demand. Ask what the buyer currently uses, what would make them change supplier and who has authority to approve the first order. Record a refusal as carefully as an enquiry so that unsuccessful offers do not disappear from the evidence.
Collect evidence specific to this offer
Keep difficult transitions, participant stopping points, spacing observations and teaching changes, recording which cues helped newcomers so later routines build on understandable instructions rather than increasingly complex choreography alone.
| Question to resolve | Evidence to retain |
|---|---|
| What exactly will the buyer accept? | Teach a short sequence to beginners and observe whether they can follow transitions while preserving space, checking comprehension before adding speed, turns or another layer of choreography for the class. |
| What is included in the first trial? | Choose routines suited to the advertised class level and available floor, making music use and movement alternatives part of preparation rather than relying solely on an energetic playlist to carry the session. |
| How will a prospect see the offer? | Show community venues a short real class demonstration, instructor background and a clearly described beginner-level session offer. |
| What must happen before repeating the trial? | Participants can follow safely without crowded movement |
Decide whether to continue
Review the specification with the buyer before committing to tools or stock. A trial is commercially useful only if actual costs, rejected work, time spent and cash collected can be reconciled. A lively dance fitness session fails when choreography changes faster than participants can learn, the instructor cannot see struggling people or floor crowding turns ordinary movement into repeated near collisions during the class.
If a buyer changes the required output, record a new scope and re-cost the test. Do not count a request for a different product as proof of demand for the original one. Keep personal contact details in your private records and use customer statements publicly only with permission.
Turn the example into a buyer test
Fictional beginner dance-fitness class:ten adults in a permitted hall for45minutes with an instructor competent in this format. It is advertised as original beginner dance fitness; Zumba branding is excluded unless an actual current licence is verified.
| Buyer discussion | Evidence to retain |
|---|---|
| Specification to confirm | Playlist and format match actual permissions. |
| Output to inspect | Revise next routine from observation. |
| Failure that can defeat acceptance | Learners collide during turns |
Ask the buyer to describe one acceptable and one unacceptable result. Record the decision maker, price basis, quantity, handover point and payment date privately. A sample request, an encouraging conversation and an accepted order are different evidence. Keep the first commitment within your demonstrated capacity; no customer interview or successful trial is asserted here.
What a failed test should change
Identify exact phrase and floor travel causing overlap.. If the offer cannot meet that check, revise the specification or process before promising a repeat. Keep rejected offers and reasons in the same register as positive replies so that your record does not exaggerate demand.
