Dog training coordination in Kenya: Customers and Market Demand

The buyer and the buying decision

owners seeking behaviour support The offer to test is: Booking and administration for competent reward-based dog trainers

Offer coordination around owner goals and a competent trainer's assessment, explaining booking, attendance, information sharing, and follow-up while leaving training decisions with the qualified provider.

Separate interest from an accepted order

Coordinate one consultation and confirm trainer scope

The purpose of this test is to establish whether the buyer accepts the specified result, delivery arrangement and payment terms. An encouraging interview does not establish repeat demand. Ask what the buyer currently uses, what would make them change supplier and who has authority to approve the first order. Record a refusal as carefully as an enquiry so that unsuccessful offers do not disappear from the evidence.

Collect evidence specific to this offer

Record owner goals, trainer acceptance, attendance, questions raised, authorized recommendations communicated, and reasons clients continue or stop without inventing progress that the trainer has not confirmed.

Question to resolveEvidence to retain
What exactly will the buyer accept?Check that owner expectations, trainer scope, animal handling arrangements, and referral boundaries are understood before confirming a trial appointment and documenting its agreed next steps.
What is included in the first trial?Offer coordination around owner goals and a competent trainer's assessment, explaining booking, attendance, information sharing, and follow-up while leaving training decisions with the qualified provider.
How will a prospect see the offer?Offer pet owners named trainer profiles, explained methods and transparent fees, supported by references rather than claims of guaranteed behaviour change.
What must happen before repeating the trial?Owner knows trainer identity, methods and agreed objectives

Decide whether to continue

Review the specification with the buyer before committing to tools or stock. A trial is commercially useful only if actual costs, rejected work, time spent and cash collected can be reconciled. Coordination fails when marketing promises a fixed behavioural result before the trainer has assessed the animal, leaving owners dissatisfied even when appointments occur as scheduled.

If a buyer changes the required output, record a new scope and re-cost the test. Do not count a request for a different product as proof of demand for the original one. Keep personal contact details in your private records and use customer statements publicly only with permission.

Turn the example into a buyer test

Fictional coordination contract: arrange a four-session introductory programme for four adult-dog/owner pairs with one verified reward-based trainer. The trainer decides whether group attendance is appropriate for each dog and sets content, site layout and assistant needs. Your deliverables are screening administration, venue booking, reminders and attendance records. Do not market yourself as the trainer, promise obedience in four lessons or accept clinical behaviour cases without the trainer’s qualified referral process.

Buyer discussionEvidence to retain
Specification to confirmReject methods relying on pain, fear or unsupported instant-fix claims; resolve competence before collecting enrolment money.
Output to inspectPublish no dog behaviour label, owner phone number or training video without appropriate consent.
Failure that can defeat acceptanceA dog is unsuitable for group work

Ask the buyer to describe one acceptable and one unacceptable result. Record the decision maker, price basis, quantity, handover point and payment date privately. A sample request, an encouraging conversation and an accepted order are different evidence. Keep the first commitment within your demonstrated capacity; no customer interview or successful trial is asserted here.

What a failed test should change

Check the trainer’s screening decision and referral advice.. If the offer cannot meet that check, revise the specification or process before promising a repeat. Keep rejected offers and reasons in the same register as positive replies so that your record does not exaggerate demand.
