Lash extension studio in Kenya: Risks and Launch Plan

Set the conditions for a safe commercial test

  • Eye irritation
  • adhesive reactions

A visually dramatic result cannot sustain the business if staff ignore discomfort or clients misunderstand the maintenance commitment and return expecting unsupported permanence from the initial appointment.

A risk list is useful only when it changes a decision. For each risk, write the observable warning, who checks it and the response before the next commitment. Do not treat a reserve of money as permission to continue unsafe or unauthorized work.

Use a small, measurable pilot

Validate training and product instructions, then trial a modest style with clear consent.

The pilot scope is: Offer lash extensions only within trained practice and product-supported procedures, defining the cosmetic look, appointment requirements, aftercare, and the response to adverse symptoms beforehand.

GateEvidence before continuing
Scope agreedOffer lash extensions only within trained practice and product-supported procedures, defining the cosmetic look, appointment requirements, aftercare, and the response to adverse symptoms beforehand.
Output acceptableReview the agreed style and comfort throughout application, stopping and arranging appropriate referral for adverse eye symptoms rather than treating the finished appearance as acceptance.
Costs recordedInclude consultation, product suitability checks, single-use supplies, removal within scope, careful application time, and appointments stopped when continuing would conflict with the supported procedure.
Buyer response recordedRecord training-relevant service scope, product references, agreed style, consultation and consent, comfort observations, stop decisions, aftercare instructions, and the client's understanding of follow-up arrangements.

Stage the launch around prerequisites

First confirm the buyer specification and activity requirements. Then compare suppliers, establish suitable facilities and prepare the operating record. Run the bounded trial when those prerequisites are in place. Review actual costs, quality failures and cash collected before increasing the commitment.

This sequence is not a promise that the complete business cycle fits into 30 days. Growing periods, qualifications, approvals, seasonal access and customer buying cycles can require longer. Revise the schedule when a prerequisite changes rather than skipping it to meet a launch date.

Choose continue, revise, pause or stop

Continue only when the scoped result is accepted and direct costs and payment timing are workable. Revise one part of the offer if the problem is identifiable and affordable to test again. Pause when required information, permission, skills or resources are missing. Stop the affected work when safety, consent or lawful authority is uncertain.

Keep a maximum test loss and unpaid-balance limit suited to your actual funds. A successful single delivery is useful evidence, but it does not establish year-round demand or justify committing every available resource.

Tie launch milestones to observable checks

Risk signalEvidence to inspectResponse to test
Adhesive storage history unknownCompare lot/opening date and storage record with exact maker instructions.Quarantine it and use a verified suitable unit; never estimate remaining safe life.
Eye discomfort during serviceStop immediately and follow professional incident protocol.Do not add product or continue to meet a booking deadline; seek appropriate clinical help when needed.
Early loss complaintReview lot, actual protocol record and client history without blaming client.Arrange competent assessment and appropriate remedy; do not prescribe a stronger unknown adhesive.

Illustrative acceptance decision

Fictional worked acceptance decision: One completed appointment and one unsuitable consultation equal one completed lash service.

This is a teaching scenario, not a reported operator result.

Outstanding go / hold conditions

  • No field trial, customer transaction or specialist validation occurred; these checks remain pending.
  • Actual stock, unobserved costs, tax, delivery and applicable local requirements need confirmation.

Assign an owner, evidence reference and review date to each unresolved condition. Do not give every milestone a fixed calendar date when it depends on a crop, production, approval or competence cycle. Run only a suitable limited trial, reconcile accepted output and actual cash, and record whether the evidence supports holding, revising, proceeding within the limit or stopping.
