KENYA · GUIDE 0056 · EDITION 4.2
Nest box making in Kenya
Make cleanable nest boxes to customer-agreed dimensions.
A CONCRETE EXAMPLE · ILLUSTRATIVE
Fictional fabrication order: one three-bay nest-box assembly for an existing small egg farm, example outside dimensions 960 mm wide × 400 mm deep × 400 mm high. Use a farm-reviewed drawing and 12 mm panel stock; the example bays are approximately 304 mm clear width, not a universal welfare prescription. A hinged top and three removable washable liners provide collection/cleaning access. Bird suitability, support fixing and panel/coating compatibility must be approved before fabrication; no laying-rate increase is promised.
