Social media audit service in Kenya: Customers and Market Demand

The buyer and the buying decision

Small businesses managing their own channels. The offer to test is: Audit social profiles for factual accuracy, consistency and practical improvements.

Audit a defined set of business accounts against commercial goals, reviewing ownership, profile accuracy, content consistency, customer-response practices, and gaps the owner can realistically address first.

Separate interest from an accepted order

Review one profile and deliver a short prioritized action list.

The purpose of this test is to establish whether the buyer accepts the specified result, delivery arrangement and payment terms. An encouraging interview does not establish repeat demand. Ask what the buyer currently uses, what would make them change supplier and who has authority to approve the first order. Record a refusal as carefully as an enquiry so that unsuccessful offers do not disappear from the evidence.

Collect evidence specific to this offer

Record accounts inspected, access uncertainties, sampled posts, enquiry handling observations, available performance context, owner corrections, prioritized actions, and evidence supporting each recommended change for later review.

Question to resolveEvidence to retain
What exactly will the buyer accept?Ask the owner to verify account access and score the recommended actions for usefulness, distinguishing observed problems from assumptions that need customer or performance evidence later.
What is included in the first trial?Audit a defined set of business accounts against commercial goals, reviewing ownership, profile accuracy, content consistency, customer-response practices, and gaps the owner can realistically address first.
How will a prospect see the offer?Offer a sample accuracy observation without implying access to private analytics.
What must happen before repeating the trial?Findings distinguish observed issues from assumptions about performance.

Decide whether to continue

Review the specification with the buyer before committing to tools or stock. A trial is commercially useful only if actual costs, rejected work, time spent and cash collected can be reconciled. An audit has little value when it lists fashionable tactics without identifying missing contact details, neglected purchase enquiries, or a posting workload the business cannot maintain consistently.

If a buyer changes the required output, record a new scope and re-cost the test. Do not count a request for a different product as proof of demand for the original one. Keep personal contact details in your private records and use customer statements publicly only with permission.

Turn the example into a buyer test

Fictional audit AUD-36 examines one café's two public social accounts and their latest twenty posts, ten per account. Output is a dated evidence sheet, five prioritised fixes and a short owner review. Example finding: 'Three recent menu images show two different closing times; owner must confirm current hours before replacement.' The audit uses public content and owner-authorised metrics only. Competitor passwords, hidden audience data, platform certification, account takeover and guaranteed follower growth are excluded.

Buyer discussionEvidence to retain
Specification to confirmBoth accounts belong to the client and the report clearly states its sampled period.
Output to inspectEach recommendation names an owner, acceptance check and whether implementation is outside the audit fee.
Failure that can defeat acceptanceFinding has no reproducible example

Ask the buyer to describe one acceptable and one unacceptable result. Record the decision maker, price basis, quantity, handover point and payment date privately. A sample request, an encouraging conversation and an accepted order are different evidence. Keep the first commitment within your demonstrated capacity; no customer interview or successful trial is asserted here.

What a failed test should change

Check its source link and capture date.. If the offer cannot meet that check, revise the specification or process before promising a repeat. Keep rejected offers and reasons in the same register as positive replies so that your record does not exaggerate demand.
