Terere growing in Kenya

Grow terere as a quick-turn leafy vegetable offer.

A CONCRETE EXAMPLE · ILLUSTRATIVE

Fictional terere order: deliver 50 tender amaranth bunches to a retailer who serves customers already buying the vegetable. Split the order into five groups of ten so the retailer can inspect size without destroying all the ties. Use an agreed sample showing leaf maturity and how much tender stem belongs in a bunch. The reusable deliverable is a bed-to-bunch tally: seed lot, planting block, harvest gross weight, weed and coarse-stem removal, accepted bunches, unsold remainder and paid sales.

Who is the first customer?

Local vegetable retailers serving customers familiar with amaranth leaves.

Test the offer

Ask a retailer to grade trial bunches and compare paid acceptance with unsold remainder.
